Limestone Canoic Jars (Ptolemaic Period, 332 - 31 BC)

Limestone Canopic Jars (Ptolemaic Period, 332 – 31 BC). After mummification, the viscera of the individual were stored in jars for the afterlife:

Duamatefthe jackal: the stomach.
Hapythe baboon: the lungs.
Imsetythe human: the liver.
Qebehsenufthe falcon: the intestines.
